Singing week 6

In singing today we were practicing for a big Aroha concert. We first sang tip of my tongue we didn't sing that the best but it was okay, there were only 4 or 5 people singing. We sang oh my my lots more people sang it and I would say it was an 8/10 because some people were out of sink but we will hopefully get better at that and getting in sink and louder then we are now before the concert.

In the big aroha concert, we have to sing bad hair day, big Aroha, don't dream it's over, green light, home again, light surrounding you, nature, oh my my, shark attack, stand up, tarakihi, tip of my tongue, wake up, whaling, we know the way and why does love do this to me. I think that we will rock the crowd away with our amazing singing.

Laughter is the best midicine

Laughter, laughter is another type of medicine. Laughter is a way for us to express our feelings. Some people say laughter can heal any problem you have, I say laughter is a great way to become friends or to connect to others when they are having a bad day. For me my brother always makes me laugh by telling me jokes, being clumsy or even pranking others. The famous person I think that is funny is Mr bean (Rowan Atkinson) I think he is funny because he expresses funniness through his facial expression which most comedians can not do, most comedians do it through telling jokes. Here are so examples of how people find him funny.
1.mr bean  This video is funny because he doesn't know where he is or what he is doing and you cant see that trough his facial expressions.
2.mr bean 2This video is funny because you get surprised which leads you into laughter.
3.mr bean 3This video is funny because you get surprised which leads you into laughter and it also is funny because he is very clumsy.
I started watching him with my brother and that's how I found him I hope you guys do too.

Drama

Last week in drama we learned how to play some games such as 2 truths 1 lie, misty vista, tequila, copy circle, and statues. Throughout the games, we learned skills such as listening, respect personal space and follow directions. We had to Focus on who was the leader or who was trying to get us out. It was easy to start with but as we got near the end it got harder and harder as we played I learned some new games to teach my family when I get home. Learning about others was quite intriguing to hear about others and the things they have experienced. Some times learning the games were hard but playing the games was easy. Most of the time we had others that were so into the game, well others would be ignorant and ruin our games but I found it mostly easy throughout out it all it was quite easy for me. The game I liked the most was statues because it was a strategy because you had to move when they looked away you can move i found it quite easy to do it.By Mya Gianelly

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing games such as soccer, bench ball and hockey we played it in our new gym on tuesday. The focus of this was to be in a team that you either don't work with or you don't quite know well for me it was different as we weren't put with our friends or people that we try to talk to all the time we could talk to them to learn things about them and to see if we could work together even if we did not know them. by mya

Our activity was floor hockey, bench ball, and soccer. For this activity, I rated my self as a level of 3 because i worked with people I did not know.

To achieve level 3 we have to show that we can consistently work as a team that we wouldn't talk all the time and about other things and that we could achieve to work together even though we might not know each other well.

During the game of bench ball, I showed that I am working at level 3 by working with others as a team and trying new things with other people and not talking all the time. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 3.

While playing the Cross-court games, something that I found challenging was working with others that I did not know. The reason I found this challenging was because we had a weakness that others did not think that we're weak and working with people i don't really know.

However, I managed to overcome this challenge by keep on trying and working hard with others.

Next week I am aiming to work at level 3 To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on my attitude and participate if my friends are being silly.

Throughout the past 3 weeks each Wednesday at period 5 and Thursday period 5 we were making keyrings during this process we had to plan what we were going to make with the pieces of acrylic plastic. after that, we had to shape our work during this I found it challenging to  do this as I couldn't figure out which shape to make it  as I made notice that even tho I couldn't  seem to work at the same pace as the other kids I still pushed through as I was near finishing I helped out the other students to help them as I did I learned not to give up but to try your best I found it easy to finish it but not to starts but at least I got it done thanks to my colleges they helped.

Kermode bears

     Today Mr. Mitchell and I were writing my song as we did we found some great words to intrigue the singer. My inspiration for the song was about my favorite animal kermode bears.
as I was writing the song I felt great to achieve this, as I continued to write Mr. Mitchel gave me some ideas to help me write it. Here it is.

It was great that I finished it in time. I found this process easy to do but kinda hard.

story boarding for art

Today in art we went to the next step of the stop motion. We had to choose what the story based is going to be what I mean is, is the characters made out of clay, is the story going to be made on the whiteboard or is the characters going to be made of object (shell, rubbish or etc). The next step was what the story was going to be based on, our story was based on caring. Then we brainstormed the whole story on a storyboard.

On the storyboard we had to put the scenery in and the characters. At the bottom was space for us to put down what was going on in that part of the story. We had each other choose what they wanted to do. Alliah chose to do the drawing, Lyan chose to do the writing, Jolly Rose chose to help us with the drawings by just putting some extra effect and I chose to describe to Alliah what the scene was going to look like.

Our story was about a grandmother who meets her granddaughter Wairua and then they grow a awesome bond with each other than she finds out she has cancer the granddaughter would be with her all the time. Then a few years later she died, her dying wish was for Wairua to graduate. Wairua promised her so she worked hard to get into college and then she made it. A lot of concentration went into her work then she finally made it. 

Then she grew older and had the same relation ship with her grandson and the same thing happened over and over again. The main thing about the story is that the grandchildren have cared for the elders and loved them till the day they died.

Here is the work we had done and see how well Alliah had drawn:
